A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN CHANGE ORDER #1 FOR $4,292.26 TO THE
PORT TOWNSEND POLICE FACILITY RENOVATION PROJECT CONTRACT
WITH BEN'S HEATING SERVICE.
WHEREAS, Change Orders are a necessary and common occurrence on construction projects
such as the Port Townsend Police Facility Renovation; and
WHEREAS,
Change Orders are actual changes to the original contract, requiring fair
negotiation and agreement by the City and the Contractor, Ben's Heating Service;
and
WHEREAS, It has been found necessary and desirable to ventilate the Evidence and Pre-
evidence rooms for up to 20 air changes per hour.
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the budget to accommodate these changes;
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the City Manager
to sign Change Order #1 for $4,292.26 to the Port Townsend Police Facility Renovation Project
contract with Ben's Heating Service to provide additional ventilation to the Evidence and Pre-
Evidence Room.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this 1st
day of November, 1999.
