RESOLUTION NO. 21-039
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, ACCEPTING THE $7,500 DONATION FROM THE PORT
TOWNSEND LIBRARY FOUNDATION FOR THE STORYWALK AND DIRECTING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A DONATION AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Port Townsend Municipal Code 3.42.050 requires the City Council
approve any donations to the City in excess of$5,000; and
WHEREAS,the Port Townsend Library Foundation has agreed to fund the purchase of
sign frames and posts for a StoryWalk at Kah Tai Lagoon; and
WHEREAS, the City Parks, Recreation, and Tree Advisory Board supports the
installation of the StoryWalk at Kah Tai Lagoon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend:
The City gratefully accepts the donation from the Port Townsend Library Foundation up
to the amount of$7,500 for the purchase of StoryWalk sign frames and posts and directs
the City Manager to execute a donation agreement.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 7"' day of July 2021.
