RESOLUTION NO. 21-030
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, RENAMING THE CITY COUNCIL TRANSPORTATION
COMMITTEE AND EXPANDING ITS MISSION AS THE CITY COUNCIL
INFRASTRUCTURE AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
WHEREAS,the City of Port Townsend City Council established a City Council
Transportation Committee on April 1, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Transportation Committee is to advise and make policy
recommendations with respect to the City's transportation needs, including acquisition,
construction, and maintenance of City streets, sidewalks, and rights-of-way; and
WHEREAS, the City Council Rules Committee recommended the Transportation
Committee's mission be expanded to include all the City's physical infrastructure and functional
plans, including streets, sidewalks, rights-of-way, parks, utility assets, and other physical
structures in addition to City housing needs and development codes and recommended renaming
the committee as the Infrastructure and Development Committee.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
The City Council Infrastructure and Development Committee will consist of three City
Council members. The Committee will continue its work on transportation, as well as
formulating a work plan, consistent with the City work plan, for its broader responsibilities.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 3`d day of May 2021. w
