HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-078RESOLUTION #99 - ,0 '7d9 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN CHANGE ORDER #1 FOR $6,038.08 TO THE PORT TOWNSEND POLICE FACILITY RENOVATION PROJECT CONTRACT WITH HANSON OF PORT TOWNSEND. WHEREAS, Change Orders are a necessary and common occurrence on construction projects such as the Port Townsend Police Facility Renovation; and WHEREAS, Change Orders are actual changes to the original contract, requiring fair negotiation and agreement by the City and the Contractor, Hanson of Port Townsend; and WHEREAS, It has been found necessary and desirable to provide the additional electrical work for the ventilating system for the Evidence Room, correct electrical found in demolition and add four exterior lights; and WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the budget to accommodate these changes; N O W T H E R E F O R E Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the City Manager to sign Change Order #1 for $6,038.08 to the Port Townsend Police Facility Renovation Project contract with Hanson's of Port Townsend to provide the additional electrical work for the ventilating system to the Evidence Room, correct electrical found during demolition and add four exterior lights. ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this 1st day of November, 1999.
