RESOLUTION NO. 21-022
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, ESTABLISHING AN EXTENSION POLICY FOR MOUNTAIN VIEW
POOL PASS HOLDERS DUE TO THE POOL SHUTDOWN DURING THE COVID-19
PANDEMIC
WHEREAS,the City of Port Townsend closed the Mountain View swimming pool in
March 2020 due to COVID-19 impacts; and
WHEREAS, the City had previously sold annual and six-month passes for the Mountain
View Pool that purchasers could not use due to the pool closure; and
WHEREAS, staff has refunded the value of passes upon request, but other pool users
may prefer to extend their passes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend that staff will extend the expiration of any Mountain View pool pass by the number of
months the pass was unusable due to the pool closure.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a special meeting
thereof, held this 5th day of April 2021.
