A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE A CONTRACT
AMENDMENT WITH CBM TO EXTEND THE CUSTODIAL SERVICES CONTRACT.
WHEREAS, the City has facilities, such as the Public Restrooms which require custodial
services seven days a week; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to continue to privatize the services rather than to add City staff to
cover weekends, holidays and paid leave; and
WHEREAS, the Contractor has performed these duties and the City wishes to extend the
contract for another year;
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the City Manager to
sign an amendment to the contract with C.B.M. to extend the contract to December 31, 2000.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this 13th
day of December, 1999.
