A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AND LOCAL UNION NO. 589 OF THE TEAMSTERS UNION FOR
GENERAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES EFFECTIVE FOR THE PERIOD
BETWEEN JANUARY 1, 2000 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2002
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS,
the City Council has reviewed the terms of the tentative agreement negotiated by
the City Manager and the bargaining representatives for the Teamster's Union;
and
WHEREAS,
the City Council wishes to implement the tentative agreement substantially in the
form presented to the City Council during executive session on January 3, 2000,
by authorizing the City Manager to sign a final agreement with the Teamster's
Union,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend,
that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a collective bargaining agreement between
the City of Port Townsend and Local Union No. 589 of the Teamsters Union for City General
Government employees effective for the period between January 1, 2000 through December 31,
2002.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor on this
18th day of January, 2000.
