RESOLUTION NO. 21-013
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES TO
UPDATE THE WASTEWATER COMPREHENSIVE PLAN IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $130,000
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend last completed its Wastewater Comprehensive
Plan (also referred to as the general sewer plan) in 2000; and
WHEREAS, the City requires an update to the twenty-year-old plan in order to address
new challenges and opportunities; and
WHEREAS, the City has requested qualifications for engineering services and City staff is
currently reviewing and scoring the submissions; and
WHEREAS, City staff will select the most qualified firm and negotiate the price with that
firm pursuant to the requirements for hiring engineering services found in Chapter 39.80 RCW; and
WHEREAS, the City has budgeted $155,000 for this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend, Washington, the City Manager is authorized to execute a professional engineering
services agreement to update the Wastewater Comprehensive Plan in an amount not to exceed
$130,000.
ADOPTED by the City Council of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 16th day of February 2021.
