A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE PORT TOWNSEND
CIVIC TRUST ("MAIN STREET") IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $25,000
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS,
the Trust is a community-funded project, established and supported in part by the
State of Washington, whose purpose is to promote uptown and downtown
business and property development in support of historic preservation goals; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to encourage the preservation and restoration of the community's
historically significant commercial structures; and
WHEREAS,
the City has a need for skills in historic preservation, planning and
implementation of downtown public improvements, and grantsmanship skills
demonstrated by the Trust;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend,
that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a professional services agreement between
the City of Port Townsend and the Port Townsend Civil Trust in the amount of $25,000 for the
2000 calendar year.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor on this
7th day of February, 2000. -~
