A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE RELEASE OF LODGING TAX ADVISORY
COMMITTEE (LTAC) FUNDS FOR THE APPROPRIATE USES AS OUTLINED IN
THE CAROUSEL COMMITTEE'S LTAC GRANT APPLICATION
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized a grant of LTAC funds to the Carousel
Committee for the capital costs of the Carousel of the Olympic Sea; and
WHEREAS, the grant conditions provided amongst other things, a compliance deadline
of December 31, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the Carousel Committee has requested an extension of time to bring the
project into compliance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council in consideration of the circumstances finds that it is in the
best interest of the City to grant the extension; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the best interests of the project to release
the funds at this time,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
SECTION 1. After consideration of the circumstances, the City Council authorizes the
City Manager and Finance Director to release the grant award to the Carousel Committee
for the appropriate uses as outlined in the Carousel Committee's LTAC grant application.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
