A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY FOR CENTENNIAL GRANT
FUNDING/STATE REVOLVING FUND LOAN FOR GAINES STREET PUMP STATION
REPLACEMENT AND SEWER TRUNK LINE UPGRADE.
the City has received a $1.5 million, 1% interest rate Public Works Trust Fund
Loan (PWTF)for the Gaines Street Pump Station Replacement and the Sewer
Trunk Line Replacement; and
WHEREAS, the PWTF Loan covers approximately 56% of the total estimated cost for the two
projects; and
the Department of EcOlOgy, a Washington State Agency, has established a State
Revolving Fund (SRF) and the State Centennial Grant Fund for providing
financial assistance for projects of this type; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend desires to apply for grant and loan funds from the State
to supplement the existing loan to complete a funding package for these projects:

Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend does hereby authorize the City
Manager to apply for State Centennial Grant funds and a SRF Loan to supplement the PWTF
Loan for the Gaines Street Pump Station Replacement and the Sewer Trunk Line Upgrade.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this 22nd
day of February, 2000.
