RESOLUTION NO. 20-059
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH KITSAP COUNTY AND OTHER PARTIES FOR
EMERGENCY VEHICLE OPERATIONS COURSE TRAINING
WHEREAS, emergency vehicle operations course (EVOC)training is essential and
required for sworn law enforcement personnel; and
WHEREAS, providing EVOC training collaboratively with other law enforcement
agencies increases officer safety in multi-jurisdictional responses and pursuits and is an
economically efficient use of resources;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend, Washington, the City Manager is authorized to executive an interlocal agreement with
Kitsap County and other parties for emergency vehicle operations course training.
ADOPTED by the City Council of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 16th day of November 2020.
