A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD THE BIDS FOR WATER
TREATMENT CHEMICALS.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend requires Water Treatment Chemicals for the year
2000/2001; and
WHEREAS, the City's current contract for these products expired on June 01, 2000; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable to obtain these products through a fair and timely
competitive bidding process pursuant to Washington State Law; and
WHEREAS, bids for water and wastewater treatment chemicals were advertised and received,
NOW THEREFORE
Be it resolved, by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that the City Manager is hereby
authorized to award contracts for Water Treatment Chemicals to the lowest responsible,
responsive bidders.
Adopted by the City Council and signed by the Mayor this 5th day of June, 2000.
