NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
In regards to Administrative Appeal of Waiver Request for Water Service
Connection,
Tax parcels #001212018 and 001212019
The Port Townsend Hearing Examiner will hold a public hearing to consider the above
referenced matter on October 22, 2020, beginning at or about 3:00 p.m. The Hearing
Examiner will consider an appeal of a waiver decision concerning connection to the City
public water system. The Hearing will be held virtually, but based at 540 Water Street,
Second Floor in Council Chambers. For your convenience, the Hearing Examiner's Rules
of Procedure are enclosed and may be found at http://weblink.citvofpt.us/weblinU0/doc/1

second floor, City Administration, City Hall, 250 Madison Street. All interested persons
may appear at the hearing and participate and provide oral and written comments as

Description:
The appellant submitted a waiver requesting the installation of a well
rather than connection to the City Public Water System. The City Code and Jefferson
County Coordinated Water System Plan provide the public water system with the first
right of refusal for all new services subject to water service being available in a timely
and reasonable manner. The waiver was not granted, requiring water to be extended to
the subject properties. This administrative appeal seeks reversal of the waiver decision.

service area legally described as Jefferson County tax parcel numbers #001212018 and
