A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT WITH THE
CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND.
WHEREAS, This Purchasing Agreement is entered into pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW, the
Interlocal Cooperation Act, and other provisions of law; and
WHEREAS, The purpose of this Agreement is to allow the Agencies to cooperatively purchase
goods and services in the manner known as "piggy-backing"; and
WHEREAS, The City is required to enter into an interlocal agreement with the City of
Bainbridge Island in advance of the either city's advertisement for a vendor; and
WHEREAS, This agreement will cover all future purchases made by the City of Port Townsend
and the City of Bainbridge Island without entering into a separate agreement for each contract.
NOW THEREFORE
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the City Manager
to sign an Interlocal Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with the City of Bainbridge Island.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this
19th day of June 2000.
