RESOLUTION 00-045
A RESOLUTION MEMORIALIZING ANDY ELDRIDGE
WHEREAS, Andy Eldridge has served the citizens of Port Townsend and Jefferson County
with distinction since 1974; and
during the past twenty,one years as a full-time police officer, Officer Eldridge has
made a lasting contribution to the future of the City in his work as the
department's senior officer and Rhododendron Festival coordinator; and
throughout his service to the City, Officer Eldridge has combined exemplary
community-oriented policing and professional expertise in his work; and
Officer Eldridge's career was prematurely ended by his death on June 12, 2000;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PORT TOWNSEND this seventeenth day of July, 2000, that Andy Eldridge is hereby
memorialized in gratitude as a credit to his profession and as a standard of kindness in public
service for all to follow. Personnel #702 has been retired in his honor.
