RESOLUTION NO. 20-042
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AMENDMENT TO THE WATER STREET PROJECT INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
WITH JEFFERSON COUNTY PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT NO 1. FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF A TREE LIGHTING ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend and the Jefferson County Public Utility District
No. 1("PUD") signed an interlocal agreement in December 2017 for the Water Street project; and,
WHEREAS, the City requested that the PUD install an electrical system for lighting
downtown street trees as part of the project; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council previously approved the budget for this project as part of the
2020 lodging tax fund budget; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend, Washington, that the City Manager is authorized to execute an amendment to the Water
Street Project Interlocal Agreement with the Jefferson County Public Utility District No. 1 for the
installation of a tree lighting system.
ADOPTED by the City C'oiuncil of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 3rd day of August 2020.
