NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Port Townsend Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Thursday,
August 27, 2020 at or about 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, 540 Water Street, Port
Townsend, WA (virtual/online), to accept public testimony on proposed changes to Title
17 (Zoning) of the Port Townsend Municipal Code (PTMC). Specifically, the proposed
change affects: PTMC Table 17.31.030 related to “Day Care Centers and Preschools.”
The proposed change will make “Day Care Centers and Preschools” a permitted use in
the C-II(S) zoning district within the Rainier Street/Upper Sims Way Subarea.

Persons wishing to testify before the Planning Commission may do so either by
submitting verbal testimony during the public hearing by joining in person via computer

or by submitting written comments to the City Clerk at 250 Madison Street, Suite 2, Port
Townsend, WA 98368. Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m. on August 27,
