RESOLUTION NO. 20-027
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AMEND A CONTRACT
WITH SAFE BUILT WASHINGTON, LLC, FOR PLAN REVIEW AND INSPECTION
SERVICES
WHEREAS, in 2016 the City of Port Townsend executed a contract with SAFEBuilt
Washington LLC for plan review and building inspection services; and,
WHEREAS, staffing limitations require that the City have added plan review and building
inspection capacity; and,
WHEREAS, SAFEBuilt will provide building inspection services at a reduced hourly rate
from the initial contract; and,
WHEREAS, SAFEBuilt will continue to provide plan review services and expanded
services for tasks normally performed by the Building Official; and
WHEREAS, the City anticipates a need of approximately $25,000 of SAFEBuilt services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend, Washington, that the City Manager is authorized to amend a contract with SAFEBuilt
Washington LLC for plan review and inspections services. The City Council also finds that this
action is necessary and routine as the City is without inspection services.
ADOPTED by the City Council of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 18th day of May 2020.
