RESOLUTION NO. 20-005
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, TASKING THE CITY COUNCIL RULES COMMITTEE WITH AN
UPDATE TO ALL CITY COUNCIL RULES OF PROCEDURE AND CONDUCTING
ANNUAL REVIEWS WITH CITIZEN BOARDS, COMMITTEES, AND COMMISSIONS
WHEREAS, the Port Townsend City Council Rules Committee is tasked advising and
making recommendations for updates to the City Council's Rules of Procedure; and
WHEREAS, the Rules Committee has completed previously assigned work on Article 4
of the Council Rules of Procedures; and
WHEREAS, the Rules Committee has identified other parts of the City Council Rules of
Procedure that require updating and revision; and
WHEREAS, the Rules Committee has completed its work on volunteer appreciation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend, Washington that the Council Rules Committee be tasked with completing a review or
all City Council Rules of Procedure and suggest revision to those rules as the Committee deems
appropriate. Additionally, the Council Rules Committee is tasked with completing an annual
review with the citizen boards, committees, and commissions.
ADOPTED by the City Council of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 3rd day of February 2020.
