HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-031RESOLUTION 01-0~1 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND GRANTING FINAL PLAT APPROVAL TO DUNCAN HILLTOP PLAT, APPLICATION LUP 01-012 The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington resolves as follows: WHEREAS, James S. Duncan has petitioned the City for final approval of a 15-lot preliminary plat known as the Duncan Hilltop Plat (LUP01-012) located 1,5 mile south of the intersection of 49~' and Jackman, approximately ¼ mile southwest of the Jefferson County Fairgrounds; and WHEREAS, the original preliminary plat application was submitted on or about January 13, 1998 (LUP97-00003) and consisted of a replat of 22-existing lots encompassing approximately 3-acres of the H.L. Tibbals Jr. First Addition to the City of Port Townsend. The replat proposal included vacation of the 42nd Street right-of- way lying between Blocks 43 and 44, and 52 and 53 of said H.L. Tibbals Jr. First Addition; and WHEREAS, the Duncan Hilltop Preliminary Plat was approved by City Council on June 1, 1998; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Director has found the plat to be in compliance with the required infrastructure improvements; and WHEREAS, the Building and Community Development Director has determined that the proposal is in conformance with the preliminary plat conditions, is consistent with Chapters 18.16 and 18.24 of the PTMC, and complies with applicable environmental mitigation measures; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the proposal and concurs with the Building and Community Development Director's determination. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council hereby APPROVES the Duncan Hilltop Final Plat and hereby directs staff to facilitate recording of the plat with the County Auditor.
