RESOLUTION NO. 19-061
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, ALLOCATING ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR THE MOUNTAIN
VIEW PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
CONTRACT CHANGE ORDERS WITHIN THE APPROVED BUDGET
WHEREAS, on May 3, 2019, the City Council approved Resolution 19-044, which
authorized additional money to complete additional fire system needs; and
WHEREAS, during the additional fire system work, a previously undetected and
unknown crawl space was discovered that requires additional smoke and heat detecting devices;
and
WHEREAS, the additional fire system needs will cost approximately $25,000, including
a small contingency fund;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend to allocate additional funding for the Mountain View project in an amount not to
exceed $25,000 and to authorize the City Manager to execute the necessary documents, including
change orders, to complete the work in a total amount not to exceed $25,000.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a special meeting
thereof, held this 8th day of July 2019.
