RESOLUTION NO. 19-050
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, TASKING THE CITY COUNCIL TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE
TO REVIEW AND ASSESS ALL RELATED POLICIES AND CODES CURRENTLY IN
EFFECT AND REPORT BACK TO THE COUNCIL WITH A FULL PRIORITIZED
WORK PLAN AND BEGIN IMPLEMENTATION AS REQUIRED
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend City Council established a City Council
Transportation Committee on April 1, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Transportation Committee is to advise and make policy
recommendations with respect to the City's transportation needs, including acquisition,
construction, and maintenance of City streets, sidewalks, and rights of way; and
WHEREAS, the City Council must consider several long-term transportation issues,
including parking, pavement management, non-motorized capital investment and maintenance,
comprehensive transportation plans and policies, and state transportation plans and polices as
they impact the City;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
The City Council Transportation Committee will consist of three City Council members
and an ex-officio representative of the Active Transportation Advisory Board, The Committee
will review and assess all related policies and codes currently in effect and report back to the
Council with a full prioritized work plan and begin implementation as required.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a special meeting
thereof, held this 10"' day of June 2019,
