RESOLUTION NO. 19-046
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN
A CONTRACT WITH JACOBS ENGINEERING GROUP INC. FOR A WASTEWATER
TREATMENT PLANT CONDITION ASSESSMENT STUDY.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend's wastewater treatment plant has operated for
over 25 years, and many of its component parts have a 25 -year anticipated lifespan; and
WHEREAS, the wastewater treatment continues to successfully operate and produce a
high-quality effluent; and
WHEREAS, the wastewater treatment plant has capacity for growth; and
WHEREAS, Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has expertise and experience in evaluating
the condition of wastewater treatment plants; and
WHERAS, the City desires to plan for the future maintenance, replacement, and capital
needs of the wastewater treatment plant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend:
The City Manager of the City of Port Townsend is hereby authorized and directed to sign
a contract with Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. for a wastewater treatment plant condition
assessment study.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 3`d day of June 2019.
