RESOLUTION NO. 19-043
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A LEASE WITH US BANK NATIONAL ASSOCIATION
RECITALS:
A. liS Batik National Association leases a City-owned lot to, provide parking 1`or its
branch located on Water Street.
B. The current lease expired on December 31, 2018, and since that time US Bank has
rented the parking lot on a month-to-month term.
C, US Bank proposes a six-year lease with a monthly rent of$2,166.67 plus leasehold
excise tax.
D. US Bank has agreed to an option that allows the City to construct public restrooms
in part of the leased area.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend
that the City Manager of the City of Port Townsend is hereby authorized and directed to execute
a six-year lease with the US Bank National Association to lease the parking lot adjacent to the
Port Townsend branch.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 6th day of May 2019.
