A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH JEFFERSON COUNTY TO PROVIDE THE CITY WITH
STREET REPAIR SERVICES
WHEREAS, RCW 47.24.050 provides the City Council with the authority to
enter into an agreement with the County to provide road repair services; and
WHEREAS, RCW 47.24.050 allows these services to be provided without a
bidding process; and
WHEREAS, Jefferson County can provide these services at a greatly reduced
cost to the City,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Port Townsend that the City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with
Jefferson County to provide road repair services in 2002. This contract will not exceed
$60,000.00
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular
meeting thereof, held this first day of July 2002.
