RESOLUTION NO. 19-035
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A VEHICLE
PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF ENTERPRISE
SERVICES THROUGH ITS MASTER CONTRACT USAGE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend requires a contract to clean the downtown
restrooms during the weekends when City staff are not available; and
WHEREAS, the Fort Worden Public Development Authority and its housekeeping
services are available to do the work in exchange for the use of a small service van, and
WHEREAS, RCW 35.67.010 includes public restrooms and sanitary facilities as part of
a system of sewage thus allowing the sewer fund to purchase the small van for use by the Fort
Worden Public Development Authority staff when cleaning the restrooms; and
WHEREAS, the City will retain title to and the maintenance and insurance
responsibilities for the van, and
WHEREAS, this arrangement mutually benefits both the City and the PDA;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend to authorize the City Manager to execute a vehicle purchase agreement with the State
Department of Enterprise Services through its Master Contract Usage Agreement to purchase a
small service van.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 1St day of April 2019.
