A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A
PROFESSISONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH GRAY & OSBORNE, INC
TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE
MORGAN HILL BOOSTER STATION AND WATER MAINS AND THE
IVY/HASTINGS AVENUE WATER MAIN PROJECTS
WHEREAS, a number of concems regarding the City's water distribution system has
been identified by the City's Water Comprehensive Plan and the State Department of Health; and
WHEREAS, it would be b6neficial to the City to utilize the ComraCtor as an
independent emity to provide engineering and design services for the Morgan Hill Booster
Station and Water Main Project and the Ivy/Hastings Avenue Water Main Project; and
WHEREAS, such services require specialized expertise and training; and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficiem staff or expertise to conduct such
services itself; and
WHEREAS, the Contractor has experience as a Civil Engineering firm, and has
pursued specialized training in the area of hydrology; and
WHEREAS, the Contractor has been selected from the City's Professional Services
Roster; and
WHEREAS, the City finds that Gray & Osborne, Inc. is qualified to perform the
services required,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend that the City Manager is herby authorized to sign a professional services agreement
with Gray & Osborne to provide engineering and design services for the Morgan Hill Booster
Station and Water Mains Project and the Ivy/Hastings Avenue Water Main Projects.

thereof, held this fifth day of August, 2002.
