A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
APPROVING A HORSE TAXI PERMIT(#LUP02-072) FOR PORT TOWNSEND
CARRIAGE AND LIVERY COMPANY: CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP FROM JAMES
AND CHRISTINA PIVARNIK TO JAMES ARSULICH
WHEREAS, James Arsulich has petitioned the City in accordance with Chapter
5.42 of the Port Townsend Municipal Code requesting approval of a horse taxi permit;
and
WHEREAS, the application has been reviewed by Building and Community
Development (BCD), with input from the Police Department and the Public Works
Department, and BCD staff has prepared a report recommending approval with
conditions;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Port Townsend hereby
resolves to accept and adopt the findings of fact, conclusions and project conditions as
recommended by BCD staff for #LUP02-072, including permission to pick up and drop
off passengers at any safe curbside location, and elimination of the permanent horse taxi
standing zone in front of the Police Department building.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular
meeting thereof, held this fifth day of August, 2002.
