RESOLUTION NO. 19-008
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE CITY'S STRATEGIC PROJECT WORKPLAN WITH
ITEMS FROM THE 2018 COUNCIL INBOX
WHEREAS, during the January 7, 2019 business meeting, the Port Townsend City Council
adopted the Council's rolling Four-Year Strategic Plan that outlines the broad initiatives and focus
areas for the City; and,
WHEREAS, during the January 14, 2019 special business meeting the City Council
adopted via Resolution 19-005, the 2019 Strategic Project Workplan that identifies the 2019
initiatives and projects that the City will accomplish in support of the strategic plan as well as the
items and projects that must be completed in 2019; and,
WHEREAS, also during the January 14, 2019 special business meeting, the City Council
considered Council Inbox items and whether to add them to the Strategic Project Workplan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend, Washington, as follows:
1. The City Council Finance and Budget committee will study and formulate a
recommendation regarding a utility discount for low income, disabled adults living in a
Washington State-licensed Adult Family Homes.
2. The City Council Finance and Budget committee will study and formulate a
recommendation regarding facility rentals, required deposits, and possible fee waivers.
3. The Ad Hoc Committee on Committees will study and formulate a recommendation
regarding a Council Transportation Committee.
4. The Port Townsend Arts Commission will study and formulate a plan to educate the
public regarding arts grant opportunities and revise the current application.
5. City staff will study and formulate a local parking plan.
6. City staff will study and formulate a recommendation to integrate climate action into the
City's long-term plans.
7. City staff will study and formulate a plan to promote the Arbor Day Foundation's Tree
Line USA program.

thereof, held this 22nd day of January 2019.
