RESOLUTION NO. 19-013
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A PARTIAL RELEASE OF A
UTILITY EASEMENT IN VACATED WILSON STREET BETWEEN DISCOVERY
ROAD AND 201h STREET
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend vacated a portion of Wilson Street between
Discovery Road and 201h Street in Ordinance 2138, but retained a twelve-foot utility easement
across the vacated street (the "Utility Easement"); and,
WHEREAS, the Utility Easement predominantly served properties adjoining 20th Street,
but these properties have been developed with utility service in other areas, and the City only
requires a six-foot easement in the location.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
The City Manager is authorized to sign a partial release for the Utility Easement located
in the vacated portion of Wilson Street between Discovery Road and 20th Street.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular
meeting thereof, held this 22nd day of January 2019.
