RESOLUTION NO. 19-001
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT WITH FERRELLGAS
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend purchases propane for its facilities from
Ferrellgas using the Washington State Department of Enterprises contract; and
WHEREAS, between 2014 and 2017, Ferrellgas charged the City the retail price and not
the State contract price leading to an overcharge; and
WHEREAS, Ferrellgas has offered to refund $25,000 of the overcharges that represents
approximately eighteen months of overcharged amounts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend that the City Manager is authorized to enter into a settlement agreement with
Ferrellass for $25,000.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 7th day of January 2019.
