A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND
EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH A QUALIFIED
TRANSPORTATION CONSULTING FIRM TO DEVELOP A DOWNTOWN
PARKING PLAN
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the City to utilize a Comractor as an
independent entity to provide a parking study and consulting services to develop a
downtown parking plan; and
WHEREAS, such services require specialized expertise and training; and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficient staff or expertise to conduct such
services itself; and
WHEREAS, the City and a search committee has imerviewed three qualified
firms selected from the City's professional Services Roster; and
WHEREAS, the City finds that all three firms are qualified to perform the
services required,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Port Townsend that the City Manager is authorized to negotiate and execute a
Professional Services Agreement with a qualified transportation consulting firm
interviewed by the search committee, to develop a downtown parking plan.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular
meeting thereof, held this second day of June, 2003.
