RESOLUTION NO. 18-063
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE PROJECT MANAGEMENT
ASSISTANCE TO HOMEWARD BOUND
WHEREAS, Homeward Bound is a registered Washington State non-profit corporation
that supports affordable housing for low-income individuals and families; and
WHEREAS, Homeward Bound is currently rehabilitating a four -unit building as
affordable housing for low-income residents of the City of Port Townsend; and,
WHEREAS, the Washington State Constitution allows for the gift of public funds to
support the poor and infirm; and
WHEREAS, the City has project management expertise that may assist Homeward
Bound as it completes the rehabilitation project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend that the City Manager is authorized negotiate and execute an agreement to provide
project management services to Homeward Bound for six months to complete the foundation of
the four -unit affordable housing building.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular business
meeting thereof, held this 3rd day of December 2018.
