A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON,
ENDORSING A CORRECTION TO THE PROPERTY TAX LEVY ORDINANCE 3210
ADOPTED ON NOVEMBER 13, 2018
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted ordinance 3210 Fixing and Adopting 2019
Property Tax Levies for the General Levy and Emergency Medical Services Levy with a Total
Increase of 1%; and
WHEREAS, the Ordinance included specific verbiage required by the Jefferson County
Assessor to levy the property tax; and
WHEREAS the original amounts included in the adopted ordinance 3210 were stated
incorrectly and need to be revised to reflect the prior year tax levy plus the addition of the I%
increase; and
WHEREAS the property tax levy certification must be received by the county assessor
no later than November 30th of each year to levy property taxes;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes the
corrections to Ordinance 3210 to accurately reflect the verbiage required by the Jefferson County
Assessor.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 3rd day of December, 2018.
