A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PORT TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WITH THE INTERNATIONAL
ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS LOCAL 2032, REPRESENTING THE
CITY'S FIRE DEPARTMENT, FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2004 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2006
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Port Townsend has reviewed the
terms of the tentative agreement negotiated by the City Manager and the bargaining
representatives for the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 2032; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to implement the tentative agreement
substantially in the form as attached to this Resolution and presented to the City Council
at its meeting held on December 15, by authorizing the City Manager to sign a final
agreement with the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 2032,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of
Port Townsend, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a collective
bargaining agreement in substantially the form attached hereto between the City of Port
Townsend and International Association of Fire Fighters Local 2032 for City Fire
Department employees effective for the period between January 1, 2004 through
December 31, 2006.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular
meeting thereof, held this fifteenth day of December 2003.
