A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A CONTRACT FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR AN AERIAL FLIGHT TO PROVIDE DIGITIZED
PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE CITY IN ORDER TO UPDATE INFORMATION IN THE
CITY'S GIS SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the importance of maintaining up-to-
date information for the City's GIS System and has approved the budget for an aerial
flight through the Capital Improvement Projects portion of the Fiscal Year 2004 Final
Budget; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City to move forward with this flight in the
most expedient manner while trees have not leafed out and visibility is at an optimum;
and
WHEREAS, the City has selected a company and is currently negotiating a fair
price for these services; and
WHEREAS, the City Council must authorize the awarding of contracts for
services over $20,000 and may delegate and authorize the City Manager to award the
contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Port Townsend that the City Manager is authorized to sign a Professional Services
contract for the Aerial Flight of the City of Port Townsend.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular
meeting thereof, held this twentieth day of January, 2004.
