A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
AN AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES WITH THE
NATIONAL GOLF FOUNDATION TO FACILITATE DEVELOPMENT
AND LONG-TERM PLANNING AND LEASE TERMS CONSISTENT
WITH THE TASK FORCE RECOMMENDATIONS,
NOT TO EXCEED $20,000
WHEREAS, the current City lease with Mike Early Golf Shops, Inc. expires
December 29, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the City Council created a task force to assist with carrying out the
Golf Course Master Plan Process; and
WHEREAS, the City Council determines it to be appropriate to explore options
to facilitate development and long-term planning and lease terms consistent with task
force recommendations; and
WHEREAS, the National Golf Foundation has been selected to work with the
City to facilitate development and long-term planning and lease terms consistent with the
task force recommendations, the cost of which will not exceed $20,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Port Townsend that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with
the National Golf Foundation at a cost not to exceed $20,000.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular
meeting thereof, held this first day of March, 2004.
