RESOLUTION NO. 18-043
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH BRIDGEGROUP LLC
TO CONDUCT A CITY COUNCIL STRATEGIC PLANNING WORKSHOP
WHEREAS, the Port Townsend City Manager plans to retire in June 2019; and
WHEREAS, the City is planning the recruitment process for a new City Manager; and,
WHEREAS, part of the recruitment process is to update the City's strategic plan and
City Manager attributes and expectations through a City Council strategic planning workshop;
and
WHEREAS, Bridgegroup LLC is an extensively qualified company that assists Cities in
conducting strategic planning workshops and formulating City Manager attributes and
expectations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
that the Mayor is authorized to negotiate and execute a contract with Bridgeworks
LLC to plan and conduct a strategic planning workshop with the City Council in
order to update the City's strategic plan and formulate an attributes list for a future
City Manager
2. that the contract amount shall not exceed $15,000 plus travel expenses..
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 20th day of August 2018.
