RESOLUTION NO. 18-036
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A PUBLIC
WORKS CONTRACT WITH SHOLD EXCAVATING, INC. FOR THE
REPLACEMENT AND INSTALLTION OF SEWER MAINLINES AND
MAINTENANCE HOLES IN THE CITY'S WASTEWATER COLLECTION SYSTEM
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend as follows:
WHEREAS, the City strives to maintain and improve the wastewater collection system each
year; and
WHEREAS, the work for this project was bid using the Small Works Roster process; and
WHEREAS, Shold Excavating, Inc. was the lowest responsive, responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, City Council must authorize any single trade public works contract over
$20,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the contract is in the amount of $88,783.77
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend to authorize the City Manager to sign a public works contract with Shold Excavating, Inc.
to replace and install sewer lines and maintenance holes in the City's wastewater collection system.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 6th day of August 2018.
