NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
STREET VACATION OF 30th STREET
The Port Townsend City Council will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, September
4, 2018 at or about 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, 540 Water Street, Port Townsend,
WA, to accept public testimony on vacating the southern 10 feet of an unopened section

of 30 Street right-of-way lying immediately north of Lots 1, 2 & 3, Block 20 within
Hasting’s 3rd Addition to the City of Port Townsend.The subject right-of-way lies
immediately west of the Holcomb Street and 120’ east of Gise Street. In exchange for
the requested vacation, a new 10’ wide right-of-way dedication would be made along
the southern property line of Lots 1, 2 & 3, Block 20. This 10’ dedication area lies
adjacent to an existing 16’ wide alley. Concurrent with the vacation public hearing,
Council will also consider approval of a street name for the widened alley.
Persons wishing to testify to the City Council may do so either by submitting oral
testimony during the public hearing, or by submitting written comments to the City Clerk
(jsanders@cityofpt.us), 250 Madison Street, Suite 2, Port Townsend, WA 98368.
Written comments must be received by the close of the public hearing on September 4,
2018. Anyone wishing to inspect the application itself (LUP18-025) may do so at the
Development Services Department (DSD) on the third floor of City Hall. Persons with
