AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AND FIXING A
PENALTY IN CASES OF FAILURE TO OBTAIN
DOG OR CAT LICENSES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR
SESSION ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. In the event that a license for a dog or Cat has
not been acquired before March 1~ of the year for which said
license is due, or within four months of the birth of the animal
to be licensed if said animal was born after January 1st of said
year, then on and after the first day of March of said year a fee
of $5.00 shall be paid for said license, in addition to the fee
required by Section 11 of Ordinance No. 1692.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage,
approved and publication in the form and manner required by law.
Read for the first, second and third time, passed by the
Council and approved by the Mayor on January 6, 1976.
