AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10 OF
ORDINANCE NO. 1281.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR
SESSION ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 10 or Ordinance No. 1281, as amended by
Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1300, is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"Section 10. (a) In each case of violation of Section 7 (1)
of Ord{nance No. 1281 ~re shall be attached to the vehicle a
notice to the owner or operator that the vehicle has been parked
in violation of a city ordinance, and instructing the owner or
operator in regard to such violation as to procedures to be
followed with regard to the violation and his rights at law. Each
such owner or operator may, within forty-eight hours of the time
such notice was attached to the vehicle, pay to the City as a
penalty for and in full satisfaction of such violation the sum of
One Dollar. The failure of such owner or operator to make such
payment within forty-eight hours shall render such owner or operator
subject to penalties hereinafter provided for violation of Ordinance
No. 1281.
(b) Any person, firm or 'corporation who shall violate or fail

punished as for violation of other City ordinances."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage,
appro~ublication in the form and manner required by law.
Read for the first, second and third time, passed by the Council
and approved by the Mayor on January 6, 1976.
