AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE FIRING OF FIHEARMS
OR DETONATION OF A/Cf EXPLOBIVE~ EXCEPT FIREWORKS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY iF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN A~ FO LLO WS:
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, persons
or combination of persons to discharge, fire or detonate any
firearm, or to set or cause any explosion of any kind within
the corpo~mte limits of the City, excepting that those display
fireworks permitted by the laws of the State of Washington,
and such blasting under licensed and controlled conditions~as
may be required for construction under City regulations, shall
be allowed.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
passage, approval and publication in the form and manner
required by law.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by
the Council and approved by the Mayor on January 20, 1976.
