HomeMy WebLinkAbout1758 Amending Ordinance 1754 - Disorderly ConductORDINANCE NO. 1758 AN ORDINANCE A~ENDING Section 1,, ORDINANCE NO. 1754 TttE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port Townsend, in regular session assembled, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 1 or Ordinance No. 1754 is here and hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 1. Every person who: (1) Shall engage in combat of any sort, with or without weapons, whether or not by mutual agreement; or (2) Being upon a public right-of-way or place granting open and free access to the public, shall conduct himself in a manner likely to endanger the person or property of any person, or on such right-of-way or place of public access shall create or participate in any noise, disturbance or other act calculated or intended to frighten, intimidate or disturb any person or persons; or (3) Shall in any manner wilfully obstruct, hinder, delay or disrupt any parade, or shall in any way wilfully annoy, interfere with, frighten, intimidate or make physical contact with any person, persons, animal or object participating in a parade in a lawful manner, or shall throw or deposit any object or liquid of any kind at or upon any person, animal or object participating in a parade, or shall conduct himself either solely or in concert with others in such manner as to hinder or disrupt the free and peaceful observation of a lawful parade by any spectator, shall be guilty of "disorderly conduct[ and shall be punished as for vi61ation of any city ordinance, and intoxication shall not be a defense. Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval and publication in the form and manner required by law.
