HomeMy WebLinkAbout2018-06-27 LUP18-033 Salish Coast Elementary.NOH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Salish Coast Elementary School Parking Variance File No. LUP18-033 On Friday, July 13, 2018, beginning at or about 1:30 p.m., the Port Townsend Hearing Examiner will hold an open-record public hearing to consider the above referenced application which involving parking requirements for a new elementary school. The public hearing will take place in the City Council Chambers, located at 540 Water Street, Port Townsend, WA. A copy of the application and all other related documents are available for review in the Public Inspection files maintained by the DSD Department rd located on the 3 floor, 250 Madison Street, Suite 301.All interested persons may . appear at the hearing and provide oral or written testimony Description: The request seeks further Variance approval from the on-site parking required for construction of Salish Coast Elementary, a new 68,000 SF school built to serve grades Pre-Kindergarten to 5th. The District previously secured a parking Variance approval (File #LUP17-024) which was conditioned on formalizing shared use agreements for off-site parking with two (2) nearby churches. As one church has now declined to consider shared use of their facility, the District is seeking a new parking Variance. The District also owns land east of the school site, addressed at 1634 Grant Street, which is part of the overall replacement school project. All land associated with the project is located within the Eisenbeis Addition to the City of Port Townsend. A complete legal description for the entire project site is available in the project file available from the City’s Development Services Department (DSD). The Jefferson County Assessor’s parcel numbers for the site are 948-310-601, 948-311-701, 948-311-801, 948-311-901, 948- 313-201. 948-313-301, 948-313-402, 948-314-401, 948-314-501, 948-315-601 and 948- 315-701.
