AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE TAX ~VY FOR THE YEAR
19~;7.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF T~ CITY OF PORT T0~NSEN~, IN REGULAR
SESSION ASSE~B~D, DO 0BJOAIN AS FOLLOW$:
Section 1. The tax levy upon all of the taxable property
in the City of Port Townsend, for the year 19VV, is here and
hereby fixed and levied as follows:
(a)
For General City Government and for the
Current Expense Fund the sum of $5.38 upon
each $1,O00 of assessed valuation.
(b)
For the Firemens Relief and~PensiOn Fund
the sum of 22~ upon each $1,O00 of assessed
va lua t i on.
Section 2. The City Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized
and directed to certify and transmit the foregoing levy to
the County Auditor in the manner provided bY law.
Section 3. This ordinance shall tak~ effect upon its
passage, approval mhd publication in the form and manner
required by law.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by
the Council and approved
by the Mayor on ~er 5, 1976.
