AN ORDINANCE VACATING GARFIELD
WALKER AND GAINES STREETS, SCOTT STREET FROM
THE MIDPOINT OF BLOCKS L76 AND 177 IN ESTATE
ADDITION TO BLAINE STREET, GAINES STREET BETWEEN
GARFIELD AND BLAINE STREET, LANDES STREET
BETWEEN 57TH AND 58TH STREETS, AND 2ND STREET
BETWEEN SHERMAN AND HANCOCK, AND RESERVING
EASEMENTS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SE~N
ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Subject to the reservation in each of an easement
for the construction and maintennance of water, sewer and other
utility lines, the following portions of streets are hereby vacated:
1. That portion of Garfield Street lying between Walker
Street and Gaines Street.
Thatb portion of Scott Street lying between the midpoint
of Blocks 176 and 177 in the Estate Addition to the City
and Blaine Street.
3. That portion of Gaines Street lying between Garfield Street
and Blaine Street.
4. That portion of 'Landes Street lying between 57th Street
and 58th Street.
That portion of 2nd Street lying-between Sherman Street
and Hancock Street.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage,.
approval and publication in the form and manner provided by law.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by the
Council and approved by the Mayor on June 7, , ' 1977·
