HomeMy WebLinkAbout18-024 Authorizing the City Manager to Negotiate and Execute a Supply and Maintenance Agreement with Big Belly Solar, Inc. for Networked Compacting ReceptaclesResolution 18-024 RESOLUTION NO. 18-024 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE A SUPPLY AND MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT WITH BIG BELLY SOLAR, INC. FOR NETWORKED COMPACTING RECEPTACLES WHEREAS, the City currently maintains a series of trash and recycling receptacles along Water Street; and, WHEREAS, due to fluctuation in demand for use, these receptacles frequently overflow before the City's contracted waste disposal service can empty them; and, WHEREAS, staff recommends acquisition of networked compacting receptacles, which would have greater capacity and would notify the disposal contractor when they are full; and, WHEREAS, the City has an interlocal purchasing agreement with the City of Spokane that would allow it to obtain this equipment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that the City Manager is authorized to negotiate and execute a contract with Big Belly Solar, Inc. for a supply and maintenance agreement for networked compacting receptacles in an amount not to exceed $30,000.00 in 2018, plus applicable sales tax. ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting thereof, held this 16th day of April, 2018.
