RESOLUTION NO. 18-016
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT WITH THUNDERBULL PRODUCTIONS FOR A
FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION
WHEREAS, the City has provided in-kind support to the Jefferson County Chamber of
Commerce's Fourth of July celebration at Fort Worden for years and,
WHEREAS, because of transition at the Chamber, Thunderbull Productions has agreed
to administer and produce the event; and,
WHEREAS, Thunderbull Productions has asked Council for a $10,000 grant for the
event;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
The City Manager is authorized to enter into a sponsorship agreement with Thunderbull
Productions to provide in-kind support for the 2018 Fourth of July celebration.
2. The sponsorship agreement shall include a grant to Thunderbull Productions in the
amount of $10,000 to be used for a fireworks display on July 4, 2018.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 19th day of March, 2018.
